Lately

i feel so sad of what is happening at Malaysia rite now. I am not happy with the fact that someone who is in power, is soooo coward. I feel disgusted when the strong oppress the weak. I am so unhappy with the insensitivity that some people have regarding national unity and dignity. I feel so embarassed with some leaders who lack competency. I hope to see more improvement in my country. I dont want racial disharmony. I dont want fake promises. I dont want pretenders.....Malaysia O' Tanah Air ku~

Sekurang-kurangnye 3 wanita yg aku kenal nak bagi nama anak lelaki mereka ADAM sumthing. Adam Iskandar la, Adam Imran la, nasib baik bukan Adam AF. Of all names why Adam...? ada apa dengan Adam? My random guess is maybe sbb Adam tu ada bunyi orang putih dan islam. So sounds cool kot?..hohoho! How about Alip? hehehhe

Cuak

Malam ini saya rasa cuak. Saya tak senang duduk. Saya tak pernah rasa secuak ini utk 2 paper sebelum ini. Saya serious takut. Hati saya berdebar-debar. Saya pergi menonton TV dengan harapan dapat mengurangkan rasa cuak, tapi saya tetap berdebar. Saya takut ini adalah petanda yg buruk....saya hanya mampu berusaha dan mengharapkan yg terbaik utk paper fluid pada hari esok. Saya dah mati akal. Tak tahu nak buat ape selain solat dan tido selepas ini...saya pasrah~

Btw, i am going to wrap up what have i learned/learnt? so far.

There are only two theories to know about this ENCI 341. Firstly is the theory of Inviscid/Irrotational Flow and another one is Boundary Layer Theorem. These two theories simply tell us about the a stream of fluid is behaving. Most importantly, these two theories are created on the basis of Navier-Stoke Equations and Mass Balance.

Inviscid Irrotational Flow theory is more applicable to an aerofoils in which the solutions obtained from the inviscid flow theories satisfies the observation. However when it comes to a bluff body this solution is simply rubbish. It is because the Inviscid Irrotational results do not show that drag is created at the downstream of the flow which is totally against the observation. Therefore to tackle this, Prandtl introduced a Boundary Layer Concept which simply says that "no matter how big your Re # is, the no-slip condition must apply at the region near the solid boundary". Hence by having this, there exist a thin layer near the solid boundary that is infinitely long.

The Boundary Layer Equations are derived by performing a scale analysis on the N-S equation of a steady flow passing through a flat plate. There are 2 key conclusions drawn upon the analysis which are mainly saying that "The diffusion of momentum on the X-direction is very small compared to the one in y-direction" Hence this allows the momentum diffusion in x-direction to be neglected in the N-S equation. Another one says that, because of the importance of the viscous effect, the remaining viscous terms will be of an order 1...

Despite the simplification achieved upon applying the assumptions, the BL equations are still difficult to be solved. However we could still perform a numerical method sing a similarity transform. The results from this numerical method shows that the velocity within the boundary layers are self-similar and this is known as BLASIUS SOLUTION.

Saya Blurrr....

Pertamanye saya nak melahirkan rasa tak puas hati dengan mamat yg nama die Prandtal. Kenape la kamu pergi perkenalkan teori Boundary Layer yg sgt la susah utk saye paham. Saya mungkin kurang bijak tapi sudah hampir 2 jam saya baca pasal bende tu namun saya masih tidak paham ape yg sebenarnye encik cube sampaikan..saya pasrah lantas melayan blog2 kawan saya.

Hari ini saya pergi breakfast.saya kenyang. Saya minum banyak tapi saya makan lagi banyak..skrg saya ngantuk dan saya tak tahu kenape saya berada kat uni. saya dah hilang motivation. Mungkin sebab keadaan kat uni ni sgt tak best. Susah utk saya bernafas. Saya mahu berehat~

Saya cume nak ceritakan ape yg saya baca tadi....

Basicallay there are many disadvantages with Inviscid Irrotational Flow (IIF)Theorem. It was found that the theorem is only admissible with the real world observation for a flow passing an aerofoil. However when it comes to bluff body (ie cylinders) the results obtained from IIF analysis is wrong. It is because of the fact that in reality drag forces will created at the downstream of the flow passing the bluff body. Hence, Prandtl suggested no matter how big the Re # is, viscousity is important at the region near the solid boundaries....

itu je yg saya paham so far. Saya tengah struggle nak paham kan macam mane diorang derive Boundary Layer Equations. Saya dengan ini mengisytiharkan bahawa saya tak suke mathematics yg digunakan dalam engineering. Saya mahu tambah tolak darab bahagi sahaja.Tapi apakan daya, saya kene suke jugak sbb bende itu sgt penting. Oklah, kirim salam kat sume cousin2 anda yg cun. Itu saja yg saya minta di saat bosan ini.sekian wassalam...

Saya Gembira!

Saya sedang menunggu masa sarapan dan saya sgt excited utk sarapan kali ini. Sebab sarapan kali ini adalah sgt istimewa. Saya nak makan banyak2 dan menghabiskan waktu pagi yg indah itu.....

Saya juga bakal menerima 100g serbuk asam yg besar kemungkinan akan dimakan bersama buah epal atau pear.Hal ini demikian, NZ seolah2 tidak mempunyai jambu batu utk dimakan bersama serbuk asam itu. Saya memang mengidam gile babeng nih. Orang ingat saya mengandung tapi saya tak mampu utk mengandungkan sape2. Semoga dengan kehadiran serbuk asam ini, akan menambah asam garam kehidupan saya di sini. Saya sgt excited!

Saya baru habis peperiksaan berkaitan Mekanik Tanah. Saya yakin doa mak bapak saya yg membuatkan paper kali ini terasa tenang dan lancar. Saya mengharapkan lebih banyak doa daripada ibu bapa saya disamping doa saya sendiri. Saya sedar bahawa doa seorang ibu sgt mustajab. Jadi saya akan terus menyuruh ibu saya mendoakan saya dan saya juga akan mendoakan kesejahteraan kedua ibu bapa saya. Saya sayang mereka!

Lagi 3 kertas utk pergi! Saya tak sabar dan bersemangat untuk stadi kerana saya yaking kalo saya tak stadi saya takkan dapat jawab soalan. Semoga saya berjaya! Sekian~

Demotivated...

Just now i was convincing myself that i should love things that i studied because those knowledge will assist me in achieving my ambition.

If a person wants to be good in Time-Management, he will go and find a Time-Management seminar that is organized somewhere. If i want to be an Engineer, i should learn how to be one and those subjects that i am taking right now are essential for an Engineer. Basically i cannot complain and that is what i should do. To love the knowledge and believe in them ( Can someone hypnotize me to love these subjects?? )

Just for your information, there are at least 4 types of site investigations that the engineers normally do to analyze the geotechnical structure of the site. They are SVT, SPT, CPT and Pressuremeter Test. Among those, SPT and CPT are widely used. It is important to realize that every test has got its unique advantages over each other. The least popular one is the Pressuremeter due to its highly expensive analysis and it is normally used for a project that requires a highly accurate geotechnical information about the site...So that's all for today. FEEL THE LOVE EVERYONE!!!

This is an exam week...

This is an exam week. I am supposed to utilize the whole week to study and yes i do study and work my ass off on those lecture notes and wikipedia. FYI, i use wikipedia a lot in my studies because i can easily and quickly get the infos about certain things...and of course friendster & youtube sometimes help me while studying too.

One down. 4 more to go. I am not complaining for having 5 papers and also i am not complaining for finishing them off relatively late. I am having my good time studying slowly and steadily.

What's so cool about this month? Well, firsly the exam is finishing soon and therefor i will have more time to spend with my beloved deng. Secondly, 3 of my family members are celebrating their birthdays this month; Kumat aka angah, Kupik aka budak-yg-lahir-last and Mama aka mother. I never tell my family members' about this blog; therefore they dont know that i am wishing them here. So to all of them, HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!...i am so gonna call them tonite...

Just an announcement here, CARAMEL POPCORN IS SOO BLOODY AWESOME AND ALL OF YOU SHOULD BUY THEM AND EAT THEM AS MUCH AS YOU CAN BECAUSE YOU WILL EVENTUALLY REALIZE THAT THEY ARE SO CORNYLICIOUS!! Yes i am so addicted to them lately.

Another thing that i want to tell you is, Mr Fellenius was the person who published a solution to a slope stability analysis, one of the classic geotechnical problem. However his method was a simplistic approach which could lead to underestimation of the factor of safety for a slope. Then, Mr Bishop came in and he introduced a better analysis of a slope in which he took account the shear forces that were acting on the sides of a slope segment. That inclusion produced a much more reliable and technically correct analysis of the slope.Lastly, Mr Spencer was the hero. He was a better genious. He took account the resultant forces that act on the sides of the segment. His approach is good but the calculation gets more complicated. Despite its better analysis, Mr Bishop method was good enough and practical for routine analysis. An extra care should be given if the slope is steep. For that case, Spencer's method give the best result....boring~ but i like it!!!!
